Emily

Emily’s mum, Melissa, was told to expect little development from her daughter, but she wasn’t prepared to accept this – so in desperation, she turned to Sense. She says:

"My little girl, Emily, was born deaf and blind. I desperately wanted to care for my daughter, but even something as simple as an unexpected hug would often just alarm her. Every day was utterly heartbreaking. And doctors could offer me little support or advice.
