Deafblind guidance In March 2001 the Department of Health issued a guidance for local authorities called 'Social Care for Deafblind Children and Adults' LAC (2001) 8 under Section 7 of the Local Authority Social Services Act 1970. The guidance expects local authorities to provide support for deafblind people.

Deaf mental health strategy The long awaited Government guidance on Deaf mental heath services, Mental Health and Deafness: Towards Equity and Access was published on 22nd February 2005. There are three recommendations specifically for deafblind people.
