Too many older people who are deafblind miss out on the support they need. The Fill in the Gaps campaign aims to change this.
We are all living longer, but this means that more and more of us will lose hearing and sight towards the end of our lives.
Too often people see this as simply a natural part of the ageing process and don’t look at what can be done to support the person. But good support is vital if the person is to carry on living an independent and active life.
The campaign aims to help all those who work with older people ensure they support those with hearing and sight loss, and to help those with older relatives who don’t see and hear too well know how to help and where to find support.
